Our Amazing MTC Experience

We loved our time at the Provo Missionary Training Center, from Monday, July 20, to Friday July 24, 2015. Even though this was our third time through the MTC and Preach My Gospel Training, we learned a lot, felt the Spirit, and received tender mercies of the Lord.

Our young, returned-missionary teachers were wonderful. Here are three of them, with the members of our district:
Front row: Sister Lane, Elder Jex, and Sister Tutt. Back row: Elder and Sister Zimmerman, Sister Ashcraft, Sister Wilkinson, and Sister and Elder McOmber.
We not only loved being with the members of our district but also with all the senior missionaries who participated with us during this week of training. Here they are:

Three couples in our group will be stay-at-home full-time missionaries in Utah. Three of the couples will be office missionaries, in Italy, Hungary, and Germany. One couple will serve in genealogical record preservation in Australia, and others, like us, will serve as member and leader support missionaries. One of the sisters will work as an employment specialist and the other as a seamstress at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Hawaii. They were all amazing people with interesting assignments.

We feel that we are now able to go forth and serve with greater knowledge, with greater capacity to enjoy the Spirit, and with greater love for the Lord and for the people.

  1. Hello! My name is Rusty Taylor, and we dropped off my daughter, Sister Hannah Taylor, at the MTC on July 22, 2015. She is also headed to the NY, NYN mission. I am excited to find your blog and realize you will be there when Sister Taylor leaves the MTC Aug. 4.
I wondered if you would be at the Mission Office, but it looks like you are going to be "member and leader support" missionaries. What exactly will you be doing there?
Best of luck to you! I hope that you travel safely, and I will be watching your blog for more information about the work in NY. And if you run into Sister Hannah Taylor, let her know that you have "talked" to her dad!
May the Lord bless you for your service.

  2. Rusty, thank you for your post. We met your wonderful daughter Sister Hannah Taylor at the New Missionaries Dinner held at the mission home the night she arrived in New York. She is such an impressive person and is going to be a great missionary. We also talked to her the next day at the Tranfers Meeting and got to wish her well as she headed "upstate" to meet her new companion/trainer. We hope she will serve in our area sometime during our year here.
